SAP MM Consultant
We are looking for a SAP MM CONSULTANT to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with apparel production, merchandising, and sourcing teams to understand specific materials management needs.
- Configure SAP MM module for fabric procurement, trims and accessories tracking, production orders, subcontracting (CMT model), and vendor management.
- Implement and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) and SKU-level inventory controls relevant to style/season/color/size breakdowns.
- Integrate SAP MM with other SAP modules including PP (Production Planning for apparel cut-to-pack processes), SD (Sales & Distribution), and WM (Warehouse Management) for raw materials and finished goods.
- Support procurement planning and MRP runs for multiple production units and external suppliers (local & international).
- Conduct user training for floor and office staff involved in materials issuance, goods receipt, and production consumption.
- Lead UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and resolve configuration gaps related to fabric lead times, batch tracking, and seasonal planning.
- Continuously optimize SAP MM usage to increase cost control, visibility, and turnaround time reduction in the apparel supply chain.
- Stay current with best practices in SAP MM for fashion & textiles, and advise on potential enhancements or rollouts.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Textile Technology, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP MM in the apparel or textile sector.
- Experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP implementations, with focus on apparel production or garment sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM configuration, master data management, and subcontracting scenarios used in apparel.
- Familiar with style-based planning, seasonal procurement, and lot/batch-level material tracking.
- Ability to work across multi-factory operations, export manufacturing, and buying office environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead training for non-technical users in merchandising, production, and stores.
- SAP MM Certification preferred.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing units or client sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating SAP MM with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools used in fashion.
- Knowledge of HIGGS Index, sustainable sourcing, or compliance tracking via SAP modules.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori Apps for MM or SAP S/4HANA for Apparel.
