Technical Business Analyst

We are currently on the lookout for a talented Technical Business Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of technology that’s leading Sysco’s digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with on-site product teams to define, refine, and document product requirements aligned with business goals
  • Analyzing stakeholder needs and translating them into clear, actionable specifications for product and engineering teams
  • Partnering with product and delivery leadership to perform R&D based on the product roadmap, benchmarking against competitor solutions, and recommending improvements
  • Facilitating requirement approvals and ensuring clear communication of business, functional, and user expectations across all stakeholders, including engineering, QA, and leadership teams
  • Driving the resolution of open issues, supporting defect triaging, and ensuring alignment between product expectations and delivered solutions
  • Bridging the gap between high-level product vision and delivery-level detail, ensuring requirements are implementation-ready
  • Owning the planning and execution of business analysis deliverables, ensuring timely completion with a focus on quality and business value
  • Managing functional test scenarios, supporting test execution, and conducting product demos and user training sessions as needed

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Management, Economics, or Finance; a Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience in a software engineering or technical quality engineering role will be advantageous
  • Experience working with software models; mainly Agile, RUP, and waterfall models
  • Professional certifications such as CBAP/PMP/ACP will be an added advantage
  • The ability to interface with onsite staff and function as the single point of contact for requirements
  • A passion for innovative product design and the ability to foresee business trends
  • Excellent logical and analytical skills, with a strong eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in written and spoken English, and proven experience in writing user stories, use cases, and detailed software requirements specifications
  • Must be curious and possess the ability to acquire domain business process and system knowledge as well as technical knowledge rapidly
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Should possess strong leadership, management, and organizational skills, including the ability to ensure schedules are met with a strong focus on quality
  • Familiarity with AWS-hosted environments (e.g., ECS, EC2, CloudWatch) for product monitoring and deployment workflows
  • Experience with Datadog for observability and incident investigation on mobile and web platforms is preferred
 
  • Proficiency in SQL using tools like DBeaver or SQL Developer for data validation and analysis is an added advantage
  • Knowledge in prompt engineering and AI-assisted development, leveraging tools like GitHub CoPilot to design and build innovative applications is a plus
  • Exposure to Web App Development, Android app development, basic understanding of Java or Kotlin is a plus for collaborating effectively with engineering teams
