Manufacturing Planning Analyst

We are looking for a Manufacturing Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to thoroughly understand current manufacturing processes, workflows, and requirements.
  • Conduct process mapping and analysis to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Lead the selection and implementation of manufacturing planning software, ensuring alignment with the organization's needs and goals.
  • Configure and customize the software to meet specific manufacturing requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users and key stakeholders on the use of the manufacturing planning software.
  • Offer ongoing support and troubleshoot issues to ensure software adoption and effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain capacity planning models within the software.
  • Collaborate with production managers and department heads to assess fabric cutting capacity, sewing line capacity, embellishment capacity, and inspection & packing capacity OR Act as a technically sound business consultant with expertise in demand & supply chain planning solutions for manufacturing & distribution companies.
  • Collaborate with production and sales teams to gather data on manufacturing orders, including order quantities, deadlines, and product specifications.
  • Use the manufacturing planning software to create detailed production schedules aligned with order requirements and available capacities.
  • Continuously monitor production progress and software performance, identifying deviations from schedules or capacity constraints.
  • Generate reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the software.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to implement updates and enhancements as needed.
  • Ensure production processes adhere to quality standards and product specifications as defined in the software.
  • Collaborate with quality control teams to promptly address any quality-related issues.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a planning software consultant, working with ERP systems like SAP Production Planning, advanced planning tools, or similar.
  • Basic SQL scripting skills with a willingness to use SQL frequently is an added advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the apparel industry and production processes is a plus.
